General was commissioned in Pakistan Army in 1987. He is a graduate of Command and Staff College Quetta, National Defence University Islamabad and National Defence University China. The General has vast experience of command, staff and instructional assignments. He has also served as Military Observer in Iraq, Kuwait Observer Mission. The General holds Masters Degree in War Studies, Masters Degree in Strategic Studies, Masters Degree in Military Sciences and Management and Masters Degree in Military Sciences from China. He is pursuing his PhD in Peace and Conflict Studies. General also served as Director General Institute for Strategic Studies Research and Analysis, the think tank at National Defence University. Has been awarded Hilal-e-Imtiaz Military by Government of Pakistan. He was retired from Pakistan Army in 2021 and appointed Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer Foundation Wind Energy Limited on 10 January 2022 and FFC Energy Limited on 1 September 2022.
