Company Overview

Foundation Wind Energy Limited (FWEL) stands as a leader in Pakistan’s renewable energy sector, with a collective installed capacity of 100 MW. The Group comprises two entities: Foundation Wind Energy-I Limited (FWEL-I) and Foundation Wind Energy-II Limited (FWEL-II).

FWEL’s wind farms are located in Gharo, District Thatta, Sindh — one of Pakistan’s most promising wind corridors. These projects utilize advanced Nordex wind turbine technology to ensure efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible energy generation.

Both wind farms commenced commercial operations in 2014 and 2015. Since then, FWEL has delivered a substantial volume of clean energy to the national grid while significantly contributing to the reduction of carbon emissions.

Operating under NEPRA’s cost-plus tariff framework, FWEL-I and FWEL-II consistently supply green and sustainable energy, reinforcing Pakistan’s national commitment to clean energy development and long-term energy security.
