CSR Initiatives
Health
Due to the long distance from nearby hospitals and clinics, FWEL has taken proactive steps to ensure accessible healthcare for local communities. In collaboration with Shine Humanity, FWEL organizes weekly medical camps near the project sites, providing residents with regular access to qualified doctors and essential medical services. In addition, FWEL has established medical dispensaries in Gulhassan Samo Goth and Katiyar Goth to further strengthen primary healthcare support in the area. To enhance emergency response services, FWEL has also provided an ambulance to Shine Humanity, ensuring free ambulance services for the local community.
Education
Education is a fundamental right for every child, but due to a lack of facilities, schools in the region were non-operational. FWEL objective is to provide free education to every child, contributing to the nation’s growth. A school building constructed by the Sindh government was in a dilapidated condition and non-functional. FWEL took the initiative to run this school independently. Initially, FWEL renovated the school building and classroom furniture, deputed one male staff member based on his qualifications and previous experience, and hired a female teacher from the village to provide free education to children.
Ladies Vocational Training Center
FWEL has taken a significant step towards uplifting women in underprivileged areas by establishing the Ladies Vocational Training Center (LVTC) in Gharo. This initiative is designed to empower local women by equipping them with valuable skills and knowledge, fostering self-reliance and economic independence.
Solar Solution
FWEL launched an initiative to provide DC solar systems to nearby villages without electricity, delivering clean and reliable energy to underserved communities. The company has installed solar systems in 14 villages and continues to provide maintenance support to ensure long-term sustainability.
Soft Loans
FWEL addressed livelihood challenges in the region by providing interest-free soft loans of Rs. 50,000 to skilled locals, enabling them to establish their own small businesses and improve their living standards. Initially, 33 individuals benefited from these loans, which led to the successful establishment of multiple businesses.
Annual Ramadan Support for Families
Since 2018, FWEL has been distributing ration bags to over 800 families each year before the holy month of Ramadan. Through implementation of its CSR projects, FWEL continues to demonstrate its leadership in sustainable development, bringing light and hope to rural communities with every project as a step towards cleaner, greener, healthier and educated Pakistan.
