Foundation Wind Energy-I Limited (FWEL-I) is a 1210 Acre Wind Power project located at Khuttikun in Taluka Mirpur Sakro of District Thatta (Sindh Province), Pakistan. Total installed capacity is 50 Mega Watt (MW) consisting of twenty 2.5 MW Nordex (Model N-100, Gama version) Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs). FWEL-I has a strong ownership profile with Fauji Group, through Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited being the major sponsor of the Company. The project was established under the Policy for Development of Renewable Energy for Power Generation 2006. This project has been set up on Build Own Operate (BOO) basis with concession period of 20 years from commercial operations date (COD). FWEL-I achieved COD on 11 April 2015 and opted cost-plus tariff regime of NEPRA.
